About Me
It Started With A Hibiscus Flower
On a trip to Puerto Rico my grandfather pulled a hibiscus right off the plant and showed me how to taste the nectar and eat the petals. That was my first taste of what a plant could give you. My passion for herbs started right there, standing in the sun with him.
Self Taught By My Grandparents
No classroom. Everything I know came from my grandparents and many trips back to the island, watching, tasting and asking questions. Just family, patience and plants, passed down the way it has always been passed down.
Made For My Children First
For years I made syrups and tinctures at my kitchen table for my own children. During covid so many people asked for them that I was finally convinced to open the doors, and Rooted Source Herbs was born. Woman owned, still small batch, still made by my own hands.
